ABOUT ANGELA

In 1990 my career as a cake maker began when I decided to make and ice my own engagement cake. Family and friends began asking for cakes and I’ve not looked back since.

Over the years I have made hundreds of birthday, celebration and wedding cakes in different designs, shapes and flavours. In 2006 I was diagnosed with coeliac disease, which means I am intolerant of gluten and wheat found in flour - the main ingredient of baking! There is a very limited selection of gluten free cakes available to buy, so I began making gluten free cakes for myself. I found many other coeliacs wanting GF cakes as well.

During lockdown I took the opportunity to experiment with flavours and recipes and also tried making cakes suitable for other intolerances and allergy sufferers, including eggless, dairy and lactose free as well as vegan, vegetarian and diabetic bakes. As a sufferer myself I am aware of the importance of cross contamination and how important allergen baking is!

 

I make celebration cakes for every occasion as well as tray bakes and loaf cakes, afternoon teas and cream teas - again suitable for all allergen sufferers.
